Buhari Sets Off to London for a 10 Days Medical Vacation – see why – The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is out of the country again for a medical vacation. He left Nigeria on Thursday 19th January, 2017 to his country of medical vacation.
Many people have been asking why Buhari went for medical vacation. They have been many answers given also but I will tell you why president Buhari went for medical vacation this time around but before then, let me tell you that this is the second time he is travelling out for medical vacation.
It is good to know that he traveled to London, United Kingdom for his medical vacation for the second time in his tenure. The first time was when he went for his ear treatment which a lot of Nigerian used as a joke.
On the letter he sent to the national assembly, he said that his 10 days working vacation will start on 23rd January, 2017. While he is away, the vice president Osibanjo will take over his duties and be the acting president of Nigeria.
There has been much contemplation on the mind of Nigerians on why the president is embarking on this medical vacation but the president trying to stress on that said there is nothing wrong with him going for a vacation since it is a part of his annual vacation plan.
According to Femi Adesina, the president will go on a 10 days’ vacation to London and will undergo regular medical checkup before he will come back to Nigeria.
While this is happening, Vanguard observed that President Muhammadu Buhari has not been active on duty lately; they said that he has been performing activities mostly in his residence office. Summarily, the president has not been seen performing outdoor activities before he announced his 10 days medical vacation to London.
